Threats, attacker motivations, CIA triad, how UK security teams operate.

Week 1-2

Network and endpoint defence

Firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint hardening, secure configuration baselines.

Week 2

Identity and access management

Authentication, MFA, RBAC, zero trust principles.

Week 3

Information governance

Data classification, retention, UK GDPR essentials, ISO 27001.

Week 3-4

Incident response

Detection, triage, containment, post-incident review, tabletop exercises.

Week 4

Industry tooling

Hands on labs with SIEM, vulnerability scanners and case management.

No. The course assumes basic computer literacy. We start with foundations and build up.

Is the recognised cyber security exam included?

The training prepares you for it but the exam fee itself is paid directly to CompTIA. We do not bundle it.
